The Algarrobina is a cocktail which consists of Pisco Brandy, Carob Syrup, Cream/ Milk, Sugar, and an Eggyolk.

"Algarrobo bark is used to make a syrup called algarrobina that is mixed with pisco brandy, cream, egg and cinnamon to make a drink that resembles a brandy alexander."

Common Recipe

  • 50ml Pisco Brandy
  • 15ml Algarrobina
  • 50ml Cream/ Milk
  • 5ml Sugar Syrup (optional)
  • 1 Eggyolk

Shake with ice, then strain to ice filled whisky glass; garnish with ground cinnamon.

Point of Interest

Algarrobina is syrup which is made from the beans of the Algarrobo tree (Prosopis pallida). If you do not have Algarrobina, then try using Carob syrup (its exactly the same).
