The El Presidente is a Cocktail which consists of Rum, Orange Curacao, Dry Vermouth, and Grenadine Syrup.

[edit] Dry Vermouth or Sweet Vermouth?
The Dry Vermouth version is referred to as "Seco", and the Sweet Vermouth version is referred to as "Dulce".

Recipe#1: Dom Costa. ("dulce" version)
- 1 1/2 oz Light Cuban rum
- 1/2 oz Red Vermouth
- Few drops of Grenadine
Shake and strain ito a chilled Cocktail Glass, Orange Twist garnish.
Recipe#2: Trader Vic, "Book of Food and Drink" (1946)
Cuban Presidente
- 1 1/2 oz Cuban light rum
- 1/2 oz French vermouth
- 2 dashes Orange Curacao
- 1 dash Grenadine Syrup
Garnish with cherry and twist lemon over the top.
