The Ernest Hemingway Special is a Cocktail which consists of Rum, Fresh Lime Juice, Maraschino Liqueur, and Grapefruit Juice.

From The Floridita cocktail book:
"in the beginning the drink was named "Daiquiri como Papa" or "Daiquiri a la servaje", then "Papa Doble" and finally it became "Hemingway Especial" after Constante Ribalaigua made the final recipe ( the one with few drops of maraschino)."

Recipe#1: La Florida booklet (1939)
- 2 oz white Rum
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 teaspoon Maraschino Liqueur
- 1 teaspoon Grapefruit Juice
Shake with ice, and then strain over crushed ice (frappé), in a Rocks glass.

- 2 teaspoon grapefruit juice
- juice of half lime
- half teaspoon maraschino
blend with crushed ice.
