The Ward Eight is a mixed drink which consists of Whiskey, Fresh Lemon Juice, Fresh Orange Juice, and Grenadine Syrup.

[edit] "Savoy Cocktail Book" by Harry Craddock (1930)
- 1 tsp. Grenadine
- 1/4 Orange Juice.
- 1/4 Lemon Juice.
- 1/2 Rye Whisky.
Shake well and strain into cocktail glass.

- 2 oz. rye or bourbon
- juice of half a lemon
- splash of orange juice
- 1/4 teaspoon of grenadine
- sugar to taste
Combine in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake, strain, serve.
