Recipe

From "The Ideal Bartender" by Tom Bullock (1917)

In a large bar glass:

  • 1 tsp bar sugar
  • 2 dashes of Lemon juice with the skins of two slices

Fill glass 3/4 full shaved ice

  • 1 dash Seltzer water
  • 2 dashes Jamaica rum

Fill up with Claret or Burgundy wine; shake; ornament with fruit and serve with straws.
