Scotch whisky

Scotch whisky is whisky made in Scotland. It is often simply called "Scotch" for short. Note the spelling of "whisky" (used for Scotch and Canadian whiskies) as opposed to "whiskey" (for American and Irish whiskeys).
The two most prominent types of this liquor are single malt Scotch and blended Scotch.
