Boulevard
"Dry Manhattan with 2 or 3 dashes of Grand Marnier added to each drink. Use orange bitters, not angostura. A different version of this drink consists of a Medium Martini with a few dashes of grapefruit juice."

- 40ml rye whiskey
- 12ml Grand Marnier
- 12ml dry vermouth
- Flamed orange peel for garnish
Stir with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the flamed orange peel.
NB: Although DeGroff cites G. Selmer Fougner and the New York Sun from 1935, it is likely that the above recipe is his own rendition, rather than a verbatim copying of the recipe from the newspaper concerned.
