The Whiskey Daisy is a Cocktail which originally consisted of Whiskey, Fresh Lemon Juice, Almond Syrup, and Sugar. However, the Whiskey Daisy is now a Cocktail which consists of Whiskey, Fresh Lemon Juice and Grenadine Syrup.
Earliest Recipe
Jerry Thomas (1862) recipe
- Take 3 dashes gum syrup. (Sugar Syrup)
- 2 dashes Orgeat syrup. (Almond Syrup)
- The juice of half a small lemon.
- 1 wine-glass of Bourbon, or rye whiskey.
Fill glass one-third full of shaved ice. Shake well, strain into a large cocktail glass, and fill up with Seltzer or Apollinaris water.
