The Starboard Light is a Cocktail which consists of Scotch Whisky, Fresh Lemon Juice, Honey, Passionfruit Nectar, and Eggwhite.


Recipes

Recipe#1:

  • 2 oz Scotch Whisky
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Honey
  • 1/2 oz passion fruit nectar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 scoop ice

Mix with blender serve in Starboard Light glass with cracked ice, decorate with fresh mint and fruit stick.


Recipe # 2 (From 1SkepticalCat):

  • 1 1/2 oz Gin
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 oz Creme de Menthe

Shake vigorously with ice and pour through strainer into a chilled 4.5 oz highball or martini glass. Dress with with sprig of fresh mint and lemon peel. Yum.

Historic Note

Originally, the Port Light and Starboard Light cocktails were served in special glass "Marine Tumblers" - red for the Port and green for the Starboard. Trader Vic's was one of several tiki bars that used them.
