There is some confusion over this category because there are many drinks which are named Martinis, but don't fall into the Martini category, much like the Singapore Sling does not fall under the Sling category. - 1 part fortified wine or low-proof liqueur

Variations
- Using smaller amounts of two fortified wines or liqueurs instead of a larger amount of one, as in the Negroni.
