A purple coloured liqueur made with lemon or citron with or without vanilla, almond and rose. The name is French for "perfect love". It is often used for its colour.
Most brands, as tradition dictates, are not made with violets (unlike Creme de Violette and Creme Yvette). Parfait Amour is made by Bols, Marie Brizard and Cartron without violets. To add confusion, one company does sell a violet liqueur as Parfait Amour when they should probably be calling it Creme de Violette (see corporate links below).
