The Southside is a Cocktail consisting of Gin, Mint, Fresh Lemon Juice, and Sugar.

"Stork Club Bar Book," by Lucius Beebe, 1946

  • 1 1/2 oz. Gin
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Shake well, strain into a highball glass and fill with seltzer. Decorate with a sprig of mint, and a cherry if you’re feeling saucy.


"The Savoy Cocktail Book," by Harry Craddock, 1976 Edition

  • The Juice of 1/2 Lemon.
  • 1/2 Tablespoonful of Powdered Sugar.
  • 2 Sprigs Fresh Mint.
  • 1 Glass Dry Gin.

Shake well and strain into medium size glass. Add dash of siphon soda water.
