The Q.B. Cooler was a cocktail from Don the Beachcomber. Although it contains very different ingredients, some believe the flavor profile of the Q.B. Cooler inspired Trader Vic's Mai Tai. "Q.B." stands for "Quiet Birdmen," as in "Ye Ancient and Secret Order of Quiet Birdmen" - a secret aviator's society started by former World War I pilots.
